Kerameikos
The ancient cemetery of Kerameikos is located at the end of Ermou Street, towards Pireos Avenue and was continuously operating since the Bronze Age. This is where numerous prominent Athenians are buried. The area is about 40 acres and until its discovery was 8-9 meters below surface.
